As a graduate student at Syracuse University, I had a 20-hour per week assistantship in the prop shop. I worked on both Syracuse Stage and Syracuse University Drama Department productions. I also spent the 1990 summer season running the prop shop at the Black Hills Playhouse. I launched my professional career as a props carpenter at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater in 1991. I have continued to be active in researching, designing, and fabricating props, and increasingly painting for productions.
